The PT Works Team.
Director and owner Matt Wren, M.S., P.T., treats patients with acute and chronic injury of the spine, knee, shoulder, foot, ankle and TMJ; post-surgical rehab; posture retraining; and sports injuries related to swimming, running, cycling and ball sports. He is nationally recognized for his work in the area of core and shoulder stabilization for swimmers, and speaks across the country on the subjects. Wren received his Master of Science from Old Dominion University and a BS from The University of Virginia.
Danene Brown, P.T, D.P.T., received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Slippery Rock University and a BS in Biotechnology from Clarion University. She completed research on treatment of forward shoulder posture and specializes in sports medicine, postural dysfunction, and the rehabilitation of neurological and vestibular disorders.
Wendy Popp, M.S., P.T., received her B.A. in biology from The University of Richmond and her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from The Medical College of Virginia. She has over fifteen years of experience treating musculoskeletal disorders and injuries. Her particular interests and continuing education focus have been the shoulder and spine.
Mary Averette, L.P.T.A, received her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from John Tyler Community College in 1996. She has experience in geriatric, balance, chronic pain, myofacial release and trigger point therapy.
Chuck Silvers, L.P.T.A. has been a physical therapy professional since 1985. A graduate of Northern Virginia Community College, he has substantial experience with senior physical therapy, particularly with balance therapies. His background in general orthopedics, acute care rehab and home health makes him a well-rounded member of our physical therapy staff.
Megan Sisson, L.P.T.A. received her B.A. in psychology from Randolph-Macon College in 1994. She also studied massage therapy at the Institute of Massage Therapies and received her A.A.S. Physical Therapist Assistant degree from John Tyler Community College in 1999. She has extensive experience with general orthopedics and rehab.
